Interactive Creative Director, FOREX.com (GAIN Capital)
We are currently seeking a strategic thinker with a great design aesthetic to become our Interactive Creative Director. As a key member of the marketing team, the Interactive Creative Director will have responsibility for all of the company’s online branding, design, and advertising, including domestic and international websites, online display and video advertising, promotional materials, and other online communications including newsletters and email communications. The ideal candidate will be “hands-on” and thrive in an extremely fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
This position is based in our Bedminster, NJ headquarters.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with Brand Marketing and Customer Acquisition on brand strategy, creative direction and the development and execution of interactive programsl Maintaining brand consistency and design excellence across FOREX.com’s online brand family.
- Overseeing the design of online experiences that are user-centered and conducive to sales conversion
- Concepting, designing, and producing robust online marketing campaigns (banners, buttons, rich media, online video, etc.) designed to maximize the millions of dollars we spend in online placement
- Developing web pages, emails, landing pages, flash animations, and multimedia presentations and managing all stages of development including design, architecture, usability and programming.
- Collaborating with marketing and application development teams on user interface design for our proprietary trading platform and other customer facing applications
- Consistently seeking out new interactive technologies designed to improve our online presence and our online advertising metrics
- Developing and manage an in-house creative team to produce creative assets, including web pages & graphics, online advertisements, email & landing page templates, etc.
- Managing external design resources
Required Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of design experience on consumer-focused websites and online advertising campaigns
- Should have a working knowledge of brand principles and their application online.
- Ability to understand business goals and purposes and communicate ideas to various audiences and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with the different disciplines within an interactive environment including designers, copywriters, usability engineers, information architects, interaction designers, web developers, and quality assurance analysts, including how they interact with and relate to each other.
- Ability to manage a staff of designers, producers, technical resources as well as outside agencies and production vendors
- Hands-on design skills with demonstrative expert use of Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, and other Macromedia programs
- Proficient in HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience working in financial services industry a major plus
